Upgrading the head table and parents table, what do you think?

Hilary, on June 9, 2017 at 8:11 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

I love dreamy tablescapes. The tables that are complete with chargers, extra glasses, etc. I really want to get chargers for under our plates at the wedding to make the tables seem more full and decorated, but I really can't afford to buy them for every single table. What do you guys think of me just buying them for the head table and for the parents table? The photographer could get pictures of those tables. I know a lot of people could care less about chargers, but I'm a detailed oriented person so these little things are important to me. What do you guys think? I posted an example of a table with chargers below just in case you wanted to see what look I am going for.

I think that just doing it for the head table and parents table would be fine. I feel like those tables are supposed to be more special then the other ones anyway

I agree with head table. But also you can get plastic chargers from The Dollar Tree that look very nice for $1.

By "head table", I hope you mean the wedding party and their dates?

I think it's OK to dress up the head table, but any more tables and it will look like you're treating some guests better than others.

I love detailed tablescapes. I would upgrade the head table only if not all tables.

Do this just for the head table, not the parents table

Hmm I will definitely have to look into the dollar store for the chargers if they are only $1!

No. It throws the eye too much. I know you think the photographer will simply get those tables only but unfortunately that is not how you capture aesthetically beautiful images. We need freedom to roam throughout the venue. It will become increasingly obvious and photograph horribly.

Yes, check out Dollar Tree specifically. They have surprisingly nice looking chargers. Not sure about any other dollar stores.

Edit: I think you can find them on Dollar Tree's website.

You can order them online at Dollar Tree and have them delivered to your closest store. No shipping costs.

I don't see why not. I wouldn't feel offended at all. They're your parents.
