Uplighting with a rustic theme

Melissa, on May 23, 2017 at 10:49 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

I am debating on whether or not we need uplighting. We're going with a more rustic theme, wood chargers, mason jars and candles. I know a lot of people are over that decor, but this is what FH and I want. However, our reception is in a ballroom with dated carpet that I cannot stand. The price was right though and the tasting blew us away.

I think uplighting will look great in the room, but I don't know if it will look right with my centerpieces.

I think it would. Go with white (no gel) or a warm yellow.

    Rustic in a ballroom?

Otay...but to answer your question a natural(white) color up lighting can change the aesthetics of any room and won't clash with your centerpieces.

Uplighting isn't all pink and blue and red. Definitely go with a warm yellow or similar earthy color and it'll look great!

You could look into amber uplighting. It's more a warm yellow color. Or white as PP suggested.

I think it would be a great way to draw the eye away from the carpeting that you don't like. As others have said, go for something neutral.

Yes, rustic in a ballroom. Unfortunately we had ten months to plan our wedding. FH is deploying 15 days after we get married and a lot of the rustic venues (barns, state parks) were already booked.

We had considered a wedding on my family's farm, but once you got into China rentals, porta potties, it was more cost efficient to have it at the ballroom.

Like pp said, I'd say white or warm yellow.

We work at the Barn at Perona Farms all the time and pretty much every wedding has uplighting....usually purple.

I like uplighting depends on the space I think too not really the décor on the tables. My DJ offers uplighting. Did you talk with anyone about it? prices? the venue maybe?
