Uploading Documents for Guests to Download

Does anyone know how to upload a document and then embed a link to that document in our website so that guests can download it? I've tried uploading doc's to the server and then using the link button, but when I test the link that is created, it opens a new window that is blank. Thanks.

    You should create pdf file first, then you place it as a link on your website. This is then a downloadable pdf. I have a downloadable planning timeline and checklist on my site. Works beautifully. However, I am concerned about what you are wanting your guests to download.
