url to link directly to "rsvp" child page on wedding website?

Evan, on May 22, 2018 at 12:00 AM Posted in Account Support 0 7

We have created our custom URL "https://weddingwire.com/exampleurl" that points to our weddingwire created webpage. This page has all the usual child pages: Accommodations, Travel, RSVP, etc.

On our invite / inserts, we'd like to provide a link that will bring guests DIRECTLY to the child "RSVP" page. Something like "https://weddingwire.com/exampleurl/RSVP".

I've tried a bunch of options but had no luck getting a working link. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

The is how our link looks on our information card insert: weddingwire.com/yourname (this is our hashtag)
Make sure you only put the website name you used don't put .com on the end.
Let me know if it works.

Hi Evan! You can use a URL to send someone directly to a specific page on your wedding website, but the URL isn't pretty! Smiley shame

View your wedding website as guest (logged-out of your WeddingWire account), and click on one of the specific pages (such as "Accommodations"). Copy that URL and test sharing it in a different incognito window to see that you can go directly to that page, but the link looks something like: "https://www.weddingwire.com/weddings/numbers/wedding_new_website#!/website/numbers#website-page-numbers".

To fully customize your wedding website URLs, you should think about buying a custom domain!

I am doing online RSVP only and sent my invitations out two weeks ago. I just did a link to the overall page (the URL was very nice and clean - just our names, wedding, 2018, etc.). The URL to go to the RSVP page was longer/messy and I just didn't like the look of it. That being said, i've already gotten 40% of my RSVPs back so people aren't having a problem clicking on the RSVP link when they get to the main page.

Hey!! here's a suggestion! you can use tinyurl! i mean the address will end up being something like tinyurl.com/123354 but its still shorter! i'm not sure if they have any other options but you'd probably have to pay for other options Smiley smile

EDIT: apparently you can do something like tinyurl.com/JDWedding !!!!

    hope this helps Smiley smile
