Any recommendations on US honeymoons? We are from Indiana and really open to anything! I personally do not want to go to Hawaii due to the expense and time its going to take to travel there. We are open to out west as well as east coast! I want to do something relaxing, but still have plenty to do!...

My FH is very specific about his bourbon, so we are planning on visiting his favorites along the trail. Everyone suggests we go to the Slugger Museum as well.

A few years ago, we did a trip up the coast in Northern CA. We live in Salt Lake City, so we drove, stopped in Tahoe, drove through Sacramento, San Fran, stopped in Santa Rosa (I used to live there and wanted to visit my uncle and show FH around) then got on the coast highway (highway 1) and just drove North and played everything by ear and stayed wherever we felt like stopping. We booked our hotels whenever we figured out where wanted to stay that night, usually the morning of. The highway leaves the coast at one point, and we drove through the Avenue of the Giants, then turned around and went to Shelter Cove which we only found because a couple in Fort Bragg told us about it and a big storm was headed that way, so a bunch of people canceled and we were able to score a nice room right on the ocean. We also spent 2 nights in Napa on the way back. I highly recommend this trip, it is honestly my favorite we've done aside from Mexico where FH proposed! We did cheap hotels most nights using hotels.com except we splurged a bit in Napa.

We live in NC. My FH just booked our hotels for Myrtle Beach, SC and Charleston, SC! We're spending a few nights at each. I'm so excited. Maybe think about if yall like beaches or mountains or country and then start looking based on that!

You can do Virginia Beach if you never been to Virginia, Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, Savannah Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia, Florida any beach area meaning Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Fernandina Beach, New York anywhere in the city or even Niagara Falls area, Pittsburgh or Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Chicago, Cincinnati, Washington D.C. My personal favorite about the DC area is the Alexandria Virginia area with the historic relaxation time I always have out there, Baltimore Maryland especially at the Harbor area, Annapolis Maryland is beautiful if you want to be near the waterfront, California is great also but in my opinion I will go there for vacation instead of a honeymoon.

My friend is currently honeymooning in Myrtle Beach! Myrtle Beach and Charleston are at the top of my list for sure! My fiancé competitively fishes, but for walleye which is a northern fish. I think doing some off-shore deep-sea fishing would be fun!

I second the pigeon forge, tn recommendation. It is beautiful up there and so romantic up in the mountains. Tons to do and see. Good if you love stunning views.

Florida/Disney is popular, but will be hot as heck as will New Orleans that time of year.

I have always wanted to do California and traverse the coast and hit up their wine country.

My FH and I are thinking about Niagara Falls. They have lots of fun activities to do (zip lining, Maid of the Mist, light show at night). But there are some beautiful beaches in my homestate (Michigan) and lots of cabins to rent of you're looking for relax instead of activities. Smiley smile

We're in Ohio and were similarly open-minded about going anywhere in the US! It looks like we've settled on an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon, but we won't be going til 2021.

From personal vacation experience, I would recommend Maine! FH and I went there a few years ago and almost wanted to do it again for our honeymoon; the only reason we decided against it was because we'd like to see a new place, but we will definitely be going back at some point.

We're into food and the outdoors, and Maine was great for that! Mountains, the ocean, lakes, rivers, Acadia National Park, whale watching, etc., and a phenomenal food scene. We also stayed at a place with private cottages right on the ocean and it was super romantic. I honestly can't recommend Maine enough.

I might be biased since im a socal native, but anywhere in california is good! you get beaches, mountains, forests, and deserts all in one state Smiley smile

big sur and the drive down highway 1 was one of my most favorite and memorable road trips ever.. and i've been on a lot. i also love san francisco, lake tahoe, and yosemite!

down in southern california, laguna beach is beautiful (on a nice, sunny clear day i would say it rivals the beaches in hawaii) and of course there's plenty of things to do in orange county too.

i think it would ultimately depend on what kinds of activities and scenery yall are into!
