Any suggestions on nice places to honeymoon (7-10 days) in the US?! We will both be 23 by the time we get married and have thought about possibly Atlanta, GA or maybe somewhere in Florida (we are from VA/TN) but unsure. Any suggestions on somewhere nice, fun, but not super super expensive haha I'd say no more than 2.5k-3k (?) travel and all.

Suggestions on alternatives for if a rental car would normally be needed also haha we've talked about California but don't exactly want to drive from VA/TN alllllll the way across country lmao

TIA!! Smiley heart

We went to Ft Lauderdale last summer for a few days and didn’t have a car. We Uber’ed or Lyfted around when needed, and we did the same thing in New Orleans. If you pick a place to stay that’s in a central location (walkable to the beach or main attractions), you should be able to Uber and Lyft here and there for the same price as a rental car. Just do research on where you want to go and see if it’s possible!

You can rent a car under 25, there is an extra fee!

Are you wanting to stay in the US? If not, I would look at cheapcaribbean.com or apple vacations or something that includes airfare and find an all inclusive resort or cruise, that way you don't have to drive at all!

If you want to stay in the US, I would do big cities where you don't need cars like Chicago, New York, Seattle etc. but those could be more expensive..

I'm only 22 and we are renting a car in Iceland 😉 so if you wanted to go there, rental age is just 18!

I flew to Las Vegas, stayed a few days, and then rented a car and drove to California at the time I was only 21 so it just depends on where you rent from. I would definitely suggest talking to the rental rep. and see if you can rent being under 25

We are staying in St Augustine. There’s a local trolley service that can take you everywhere and we’re doing it super cheap! I can’t wait!!

Our honeymoon was right around $3,000 (airfare was covered by credit card points). We did 1 day/night in Puerto Rico before our cruise and 8 days/7 nights on our cruise. Wait for a labor day sale (or some other holiday sale) to book, we were able to get a great deal on the cruise that way. We skipped the alcohol package since we only had 1 day at sea and you can't use the drink package on the islands. We budgeted $100 for each day on the islands for taxi/food/drinks/umbrellas/chairs/water sports depending on the island. Some days we went over budget, others we didn't even come close to $100. We did 2 organized excursions and booked them through the cruise line and the other days we took a taxi to a beach.

Try maybe renting an Airbnb in the mountains (that’s maybe what my fiancé and I are doing) or you can lyft/Uber places, and stay somewhere in the city so you don’t have to travel far. But I think you can rent a car, but if you’re under 25 (which my fiancé and I are both 22) then there might be a surcharge. Best of luck to you and your hunny!

Our favorite US destinations have been New Orleans, New York, Washington DC, Annapolis, and San Diego! Some other options I'd think are Napa, San Francisco, Hawaii, Denver, or Miami!
