used tablecloths

Nicole, on February 11, 2013 at 5:41 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

Anybody using used tablecloths for your wedding? I want pewter (dark grey) crinkle table cloths, but would rather not pay $25 per table. A coworker is getting married 2 months before me, and we were considering splitting the cost and purchasing thiem. My wedding is second. Will I be able to wash the stains out? What is the best way to clean them? Will they still look good? I figure they won't have to be ironed, just hang dry because they are crinkled. Thanks.

No, I will be renting because I can't see anyone having the time or inclination to be ironing or steaming table cloths the morning of the wedding. I didn't consider crinkle table cloths, so I can't speak to those specifically.

I'm not sure if this will have what you're looking for, but I got my table runners here and they were pretty cheap.

Personally, I wouldn't want to use table cloths from another wedding. Red wine? Salad dressing? I'm just really picky though, that's just me. Your co worker is getting the better deal IMO.

Nicole, if she will have more tables than you will, you'd have spares in case some are stained and unusable.

Offer to pay one-quarter or one-third of the cost and you take responsibility for getting them cleaned ASAP (she may be on her honeymoon). The sooner they are cleaned, the more likely spills will wash out.
