I have 2 girls who are ushers. My question here is I am going to purchase the BMs robes for the day of the wedding- should I also get them robes to wear as well while getting ready? They were happy to be the ushers but I just want them to be totally included because I love them so just need a little...

Samantha, I understand and I believe you about your friends being excited. At my younger son's wedding years ago, when the bride and groom said they wanted ushers, my husband asked for usherettes too. He felt making a man trail behind his wife on the arm of some young stud was humiliating. Groom and bride regularly entertained in our home and the discussion came up at a Christmas party. The bride's sorority sisters jumped on the idea and without the bride's knowledge all went out and bought matching little black dresses and we provided them with corsages and jewelry and they were fully part of the bridal party just like the ushers. They were all THRILLED and that's why I can say I believe you that you have friends who want to do this for you. They understood that the church put a limit (because of space at the altar) on how many could stand on each side. The limit was 5. This allowed 9 of her friends to be in the party without breaking the church's rules.

Well if you are having the whole shebang, and it is indeed a full on black tie event, WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT BEFORE?! Jeez girl, pulling teeth to get this information from you.

Although, I'm still cringing about the suggested wardrobe ON INVITATION as well as adults only ON INVITATION.

Oh OP, on this website it's actually not as obvious as you'd think. Hence the reason you got such a hard time here today. Too many people on here think they can demand "black tie" and then serve chicken fingers with a cash bar while guests sit on hay bales. So yeah, not "obviously".

Give us a list of what your "Black Tie Wedding" will include. This should be a simple thing.... you either are or you are not hosting it properly. List it...

@MRs Sasswood LOL - I totally understand what you mean. I was trying to say I am having all the extras that were mentioned previously. I am not mad with anyone, I get it- I believe mostly women commented (sorry to any guys, if you did comment, I didn't notice), and women ....well, we are opinionated. I am totally fine with all the responses.

Samantha the issue is she thinks her pictures being symmetrical or pretty are more important than real live human beings who mean something to you in your life.

Fucking shameful, but my guess is you'd do the same. You seem like the classiest of all the acts!

@Taco well I said it quite a few times, I can repeat if for you if you can't go to the other pages. My wedding will include: 1 hour gourmet cocktail hour, Asian Station, Hot seafood bar, Cold Seafood Bar, All American Bar, Sushi Station, Crepe Station, Caviar Station, Mac and Cheese bar, Passed hor d'oeuvres with white glove service, carving stations and many more (my venue is known for their food and cocktail hour), valet, 5 course dinner with white glove service, after dinner, zeppole bar, waffle bar, coffee station upon their exit, off duty police as my security, gentleman at the door with top hat at the door to greet guests as they enter the venue. Hmm alot more too- it is going to be a movie and quite the wedding if you ask me! I cannot wait to eat and dance the night away with my FH, my flower girls and all my other wonderful guests!

I totally didn't care about this thread until

"and women ....well, we are opinionated"

we are not anything. Having an opinion is different from being opinionated.
