I have 2 girls who are ushers. My question here is I am going to purchase the BMs robes for the day of the wedding- should I also get them robes to wear as well while getting ready? I got my robes for $22 each on etsy. I purchased M-XXL. They were all true to size and the girls loved them. The name of the shop is MilkRobe:

I'm not surprised reading comprehension is not high on your skills list.

Nope. I'm really curious how you can have a crazy expensive black tie wedding but ask for money from your guests. That just sounds ridiculous to me

Yeah I'm legitimately curious how you justify having a honeyfund. So, no. I'm not done.

@m and @Samantha(not OP) can you please agree to disagree.

Op: did you know honeyfunds are a hot topic? Did you actually have one? Why at a black tie event would you ask for cash for a honeymoon? I am so confused!!!

That IS asking for money. Doesn't exactly scream classy to me.

Nope, just bored at work on a Friday. Keep trying though, your fourth-grade quality insults are just tearing me up.

Still makes no sense. If you can afford a black tie wedding, you can afford your own excursions.

Genuine question, OP. If symmetry is so important, how are you having 6 flower girls and 1 ring bearer? Because that will make your sides and pictures uneven. Proof- my wedding picture with 3 flower girls and 2 ring bearers (plus one was running away, which makes it even more uneven). If you're willing to have uneven sides with the kids, I would have it with bridesmaids too so that everyone can feel a part of your day.

I just need to throw out that having equal numbers of people on both sides of your pictures does not equal "symmetry" for Gods sake. Are your groomsman all the same size and shape as your bridesmaids? No? Then it won't be symmetrical.

I'm late to the party but as others pointed out, OCD is a serious and diagnosable disorder. It's not being anal and wanting even numbers. So please don't throw that term around.

Don't buy them robes. I'm sure they aren't as excited as you're hoping they are so why continue to slap them in the face. Might as well treat them like the peasants they are!

OP I think you know your friends best. If they are okay with being ushers to be apart of your wedding, that's awesome!

I read that a couple times, can someone translate? I'm being childish by responding to her comments in a contextually accurate way, but I have no friends, and I should 'grown' up?

    Noted. .

@Samantha @M- where are you going bickering with each other? Can we please stick to the post not your personal conflict. We get it you think she is undereducated and she thinks you are bored. moving on

This is yet another epic thread. I love you guys, like, seriously...I needed this today.

OP, the even number thing is ridiculous, but if your girls are cool with it, then whatever I guess. I'd get them robes if they are getting ready with everyone...since they are kind of second class bridesmaids, I'd do something a little extra for them on the side too, maybe away from the real bridesmaids.

If I read correctly, you have a honey fund. tisk tisk. No one should be asked to pay for your sex vacation (I stole that from some of these uber smart women and I love it!).
