Using Pink in a Late Fall Wedding?

JennaKate, on August 22, 2010 at 8:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 33

Hey ladies! Has anyone got good examples of using pink in a late fall wedding? I'm not a hot pink girl, more of a pale/blush kind of color. I'm just curious how we could incorporate this into an October/November wedding. Thankfully we're going down South so there won't be any red and orange leaves! Thanks!! xo

I think you can certainly use a blush or light pink for a fall wedding!!! Chocolates and vintage pinks work great together!!!

Attaching a color scheme I made for a different wedding -- but I definitely think it will help.

I think the right shade of pink would be a fabulous and unexpected color for a fall wedding. I would go with brownish or reddish pinks though and stay away from the pastels.

I think pinks and browns would make a gorgeous fall wedding palate.

I actually hate brown Smiley sad Could I get away with black or navy instead? Maybe using cream as an accent to soften??

Pink, navy and cream sounds really nice! and since you're not gonna have fall leaves to match, there's no need to worry about matching the browns and oranges.

Thanks ladies! Glad to hear I'm not totally crazy... I don't want to try to have a 'spring' wedding out of season, but we don't want to wait an extra 6 months just to have a spring wedding!

@jean what would you recommend to match with it?

We had pink lighting (uplighting and paper lanterns) even in our October wedding. It wasn't even remotely springlike, but I loved the effect.

I'm using an antique/blush pink with creams & sages for my Oct. wedding. Here's the brownish MOH dress & the blush colored BM dresses, plus my dress which is cream & blush.

I agree with the ladies above.... a rose might work better than a pink. Rose is a beautiful color and can be played nicely at a fall wedding!

I think who cares what season it is, do whatever colors and theme you want! FH and I are having a cherry blossom theme and our colors are basically pastels. Lavender, pink, creams and whites, and some brown.

What about black/white with pink accents? As much as I love the pink/chocolate combination, unless the groom is wearing a brown suit/tux- the black looks out of place to me...

@Meghan Yeah I was kind of leaning along those lines...FH is worried there's too much black. So I was considering putting the girls in black dresses (the ones who have heard are obsessed already) and maybe the boys in white dinner jackets, maybe just FH?
