Valet Parking

Jackie, on June 29, 2021 at 7:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
Opinions needed lol. Our venue is a boutique hotel located in a busy downtown area. There are only 18 rooms and 18 parking spaces reserved for guests only. So we’re going through a valet company for the day. Since we’re paying for each parking space, I put a note on our wedding website asking guests to let us know if they would like a spot so it can be reserved but I don’t think anybody is even paying attention to the wedding website because I’m getting tons of questions IRL about things that are on the site. What’s the best way to collect parking information from guests? Should I put this on the RSVP along with things like meal choices? Should I ask everyone one by one?! That sounds so tedious but I’m afraid i will run out of time to reserve enough spaces if I don’t find a way to get this info from people

If you put it on the RSVP, but 20 people ask for it... no, keep it on the website.

When people bug you, refer them to the website. (I assume it was on the STDs? Also, it's considered rude to bug the couple about stuff, they've got enough going on.)

When making up your invites, put the website info on there again, and label it: MORE INFORMATION or something like that.

Bonus if you use the website for RSVPs, which means people *have* to go there.

Yes it was on the STDs lol…it’s like people get them and never look at them again! Frustrating! I will definitely use the wedding website for RSVPs. Thank you! 😃

We didn't send save the dates since they get thrown away most of the time anyway! If guests keep asking, politely refer them to the website. I'd include it on your RSVP card also. You're paying for a service for them to utilize. If they aren't paying attention and skip the opportunity to use it, them that's their problem. You have enough to worry about! Or ask your MOH or wedding planner to take care of this.
