Vase height for tall centerpieces? Show me yours :)

Simplydeep, on October 30, 2018 at 12:29 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9

Hi!

We'll be doing a mix of taller and shorter clear vases for our floral centerpiece arrangements. My main concern is that they aren't directly in guests' line of sight blocking their view from others across the table. Our decorator said she'd recommend 16 inch vases, but I'm not sure. Anyone use 16 inch vases? For

Would love feedback (and pictures if you want to share)!

Thanks so much!

Hi Simplydeep! I love the look of taller & shorter clear vases with florals for centerpieces! Such a clean, romantic look Smiley heart

Would the flowers be wrapped/arranged inside the vases...so the 16inch rim of the vase would be the highest point? Or would the flowers be taller, standing out of the top of the 16 inch vases? Smiley heart Do you have a picture of your centerpiece inspo for reference?

Being that the vases are clear, you should be safe! From working at wedding venues, in both cases, a range of heights of vases is always a good option for beautiful centerpieces that don't obstruct visibility.

Thank you so much for your response! The flowers would begin at the rim of the vase. Thinking about something like this, maybe without the stems: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/77/46/3c/77463c4365b62e91c345719fd6b8ece3.jpg

We're using a 20' for the sweetheart table because I was worried about that, too! Everyone else gets a feather ball in a martini glass lol

I did a mixture of tall and short flowers for my centerpieces. My tall vases were 22 inches tall and the flowers were all above the vases except for a bit of greenery that extended a few inches below (and my short ones inclusive of the flowers were 12 inches tall). I had read somewhere that they need to be at least 22 inches tall in order to not block view/ conversation across tables. I think 16 inch vases would be too short and the flowers would hinder table conversation, especially for people that are taller.

Thanks! Yea, we may just go with the 26 inch ones so we don't have to worry...

I love your centerpiece vase inspiration here! So pretty! Smiley heart

I agree with the others, perhaps taller like 22inches with the varying sizes might be better for visibility, given that the flowers are coming up and out of the vases, with the bases being clear and thin. Smiley heart
