Ladies, for those who made their own centerpieces. Where did you find decent vases without breaking the bank?

I bought Mason Jars from Wal*Mart in the canning aisle. They have them in 12 packs I think. Fairly priced... I think $12-$15 is what I paid. Smiley smile

I got decently priced vases from a local Glass Barn store in Cincinnati. I was happy to buy local.

On craigslist and ebay you can often find brides trying to unload all the items they used at their weddings.

Craigslist - I've bought so far:

    (12) 12" cylinder vases 4" diameter for $30

    (16) 24" Eiffel Tower Vases $50

    (28) 36" Eiffel Tower Vases for $150

    300 plus 2" votives w/ unuesed candles $40

200 plus lbs of clear stone vase fillers $25

10 Bages of Crystal vase filler $5.00

16 Styrofoam Flower Arrangment thingys for the vases - Free (came w/ the vases)

And a ton of other stuff that I'm not sure what to do with yet. I don't need all of this so once I make the final decision I'll put it back on CL and hopefully turn profit.

This is a great site for printable coupons: http://printable-coupons.blogspot.com/

We bought carafes at a discount store for $3 each. Dollar Tree is a good option and allows ordering online with pick up at a store I think.

Also, I think some craft stores accept competitors' coupons so keep that in mind too!

Those are some AWESOME ideas, girlies!! TY :-) I'm so excited to get started now so that when Christmas clearance comes I can grab my branches and other seasonal items and get the center pieces done, 11 months in advance :-)

So far no dice on Craigs but I have time to find vases. I'm more concerned presently with the seasonal items needed for my centerpieces since they'll be on clearance in 4 weeks :-)

Dollar Tree and the Thrift Store is my friend. I have a really small budget but I am a great bargin shopper. I also check craigslist daily alot of brides are selling the decorations for about 75% less than what they paid.

Hobby Lobby and Michaels both have really nice ones. I actually came across some on clearance at Dollar General buy one at 50% off the the 2nd free. I purchased 4 for 2.00 only bc I couldn't leave them at the store. When all was said and done not using for wedding but for a different occassion. Just too good of a deal to pass up

We made our own centerpieces, and I purchased all the vases at the Dollar Tree Store.

And for the tall centerpieces that we did DIY, we just borrowed them from a friend. Use your connections :-)

GOOD TO KNOW!!! Thank you for that, my FFIL works for Hobby Lobby and I'm sure he can keep an eye out for the things I need on sale. Coupons also do not hurt.
