Vegas Honeymoon Tips

Andrea, on January 18, 2017 at 12:52 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 21

My HTB and I are going on our honeymoon in Vegas. I am looking for any tips on how to have a great honeymoon on a budget. We are going in June if that helps. Thanks everyone!

It's going to be hot! Bring sunscreen with you. What are you looking to do while your here? Where are you staying?

Download the myvegas apps. You play games for free and can redeem the points for free stuff.

    - See a show! I love Cirque du soleil's LOVE (beatles themed) and O (water themed).

    - Be sure to pack lots of sunscreen, swim suits and shorts. It will be pretty damn hot in the day time.

    - Use the monorail for traveling up and down the strip, it's usually cheaper and faster than using taxis every time you want to go somewhere that's not within walking distance.

    - Do some research on restaurants. The food is my favorite thing about Vegas.

    - Fremont Street is a cool place to visit and is a short bus ride from the strip.

You need to go to the Patisserie shop in the Bellagio hotel! It's a bit of a splurge with the desserts costing around $4-$10 but so incredibly worth it! Also take comfy shoes or buy some good shoe inserts because you will do a ton of walking and I learned the hard way!

We're also going to Vegas for our honeymoon - we picked it so travel was less, and we could do more while we're there.

    We're planning:

    -to go to Cirque "O"

    -to go to old vegas

    -to go see Britney Spears

-the buffet at Carnival World Buffet (FH lives for that place - I've never been)

-Grand Canyon Tour - for his birthday present I'm upgrading us from the bus tour he planned to a helicopter tour - but the bus tour seems like a decent deal

-going to the old vegas sign museum for a tour

-and lots of gambling, and relaxing together

I strongly recommend utilizing uber and lyft. We didn't do that until the last day and I wish we would have sooner because our feet were done for. We got to a point where we started taking uber to the casino right next door lol.

I also recommend le reve- the dream. It's a good alternative to O and much cheaper. I also LOVED the blue man group.

ETA: the Wynn has an AMAZING buffet. And is decorated super cute.

My FH and I are getting married and honeymooning in Vegas. From what I have read, using the taxis is a big money water. Try uber, luffy, the monarail or the deuce bus. Also check Groupon they have various deals for different restaurants.

Go to the top of the "Eiffel Tower" at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino! I recommend doing it at night, very romantic!

@houligantobe, I second your recommendation. We got buy 1 get 1 for the monorail and for the bellagio buffet. It's a pretty good deal.

Go visit the sky deck at the stratosphere hotel. The view is amazing and there is a bar. Also some pretty cool rides up there too. Don't know if you're scared of heights but the sky jump was a cool experience. Use the deuce bus cheaper to travel up and down the strip.

    Use Uber for everything

See Absinthe at Ceasar's Palace (it's like a naughty circus. Amazing)

See Beatles LOVE and/or MJ One

Do the Dream Racing Experience at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

    Stay at the Mandarin Oriental

Do the zipline on Fremont St

Eat at Andiamo ( inside The D on Fremont st)

Get your pic taken by the cheesy Las Vegas sign!!

I recommend not going the weekend of June 18 due to EDC...Las Vegas will be over flowing with ravers unless you want to go to the event. Just a heads up Smiley winking

Thanks ladies, these are all fantastic ideas! I already have the myVegas apps and have racked up close to 95,000 loyalty points. We're leaving on June 19th for the honeymoon. We're going to be staying at Treasure Island in a suite :-) This will be my first time in Vegas but my HTB has been there a few times so I want to see as much as possible.

We are actually going to Vegas now for our honeymoon as well! My FH has been but I have not. So we will be booking and seeing as many shows as possible, relaxing by the pools (with lots of sunscreen lol), and gambling of course!

The neon museum is kind of cool if you're into history, it's kind of in a sketchy location, but it's pretty much just an old lot with tons of the original neon Vegas signs. Kinda cool. Go early though cause it will be really hot.

I also recommend the mob museum. It's a fun afternoon activity to mill about. Plus it's air conditioned for when it's 110 out.

Andiamo's steakhouse at the D hotel is to die for. Be forewarned that this place is not cheap. Plus they do that evil thing where they bring out all the desserts on a trolley, so you drool all over the table.

If FH is into cars the Shelby museum and manufacturing plant is there and my fh freaked out over that.

There's also tons of exotic car driving experiences.

Also, top golf is a fun way to relax, and it's quasi indoors in case you want to relax.

Neon Sign Museum!!! I've been 3 times now and it is my favorite! Get a picture in front of the "In Love" sign (which is technically the sign for the former Moulin Rouge)
