Vegas partybus reception

STACI , on December 3, 2017 at 3:32 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 23

Looking for recommendations for ideas for a party bus type, after ceremony! Has anyone done this and has some pointers? Around 40 guests, and we like to have a good time! Halloween 2018, thanks in advance!

You want to have your reception on a party bus? Or you want to take a party bus to a reception venue? Or you want to take a party bus to dinner and then out? Very confused.

This is who we're going with - http://doubledeckerbusoflasvegas.com/

Otherwise look at Earth Limos or Presidential limos. They might not have anything big enough for your group though.

    1. On a Wednesday?

    2. On a bus?

I am also confused, and need a little clarification so I know exactly what it is you're asking. Are you planning on having the reception ON the bus, and stopping to feed people, or doing a bar crawl after the reception and/or FOR the reception??

Make sure you stop off to eat too (if it's 40 people and casual you could do a food truck), but sounds fun!

I'm very confused about whether OP is looking for a party bus to take people to the reception from the ceremony instead of a limo/shuttle/driving, or if she literally wants to have her reception on the party bus....like a frat party mixer.

Allow me to clarify...this will be a "mobile reception". Yes, we will be feeding people prior to this and we are coming from Florida. We will be having a reception at home when we return, but, we are wanting to do something fun, as we have quite a few people willing to make the journey for our ceremony. Thanks in advance!

So you are having two receptions? A mobile reception and a "home" reception?

Is the party bus merely to get you from bar to bar? Are you hoping to party on the bus only?

Yes, two events, one for those who go, and one for family and those who can't at home. Might bar hop, might stay on the bus, depends on the vendor. Assuming this is a common occurrence, as noted in the other research I've done. Just looking for party bus recommendations if anyone has any for large groups, thank you!

I'm still a little confused. Are you having a ceremony in Vegas with 40 guests? You mentioned the home reception is for family and those who can't go. Are you having your ceremony with no family?

You are taking them out for a dinner you are paying for. You are getting everyone on a party bus (like the kind used for bachelor/ettes??) to maybe go to bars or maybe just sit in a parking lot and drink? Is this destination wedding actually taking place on a Wednesday or is that the "home" reception?

I've been to a lot of weddings. I've been on these boards regularly for a decent amount of time. I've never heard of a weekday, destination wedding with a party bus reception. I'm so curious about the research.

It is pretty common in Vegas to book a party bus for after dinner for weddings and take your guests on a tour of the Las Vegas strip/downtown. We are doing one the night before our wedding, www.discobus.vegas is the site for the party Bus we are using, it can hold a max of 40 people and looks really fun! We plan at stopping at the Las Vegas sign, fountains of Bellagio, and Fremont Street.

What about bathrooms? Will there be enough for 40 people? What if someone wants to get off and go home? Will you be a long way away for them? Where are you going on this bus? Are you thinking like a 4 h bus ride? Are you going somewhere?

I feel like perhaps it's safe to say it's ok to get married on a Wednesday, on Halloween, in Las Vegas. Vegas, in it's own little charm, is quite welcoming of the non traditional, which is why we are having our ceremony there. I feel that those who have answered the actual question without the interrogation, get what i'm trying to do, thanks ladies! I am also planning on making the stops at the welcome sign, fremont street and the fountains! We choose a photographer in Vegas who has great ideas, and have found a company to work with the bus! Thanks for the input!

Staci, we're trying to help you host your guests properly. If you feel that it's an interrogation, that's on you.

Thank you I will have to look into this!!! We were also thinking about renting a cabana the day after just trying to find something fun for our guests!!!

Sorry you got the interrogation my sister got married in Vegas on a Monday and we are also getting married on a Monday (we are making jokes about Monday weddings being all the rage lol) Vegas is like a constant weekend and it's definately something to enjoy and have a little fun outside the box with!!

We are doing a cabana the day after too! haha. Optional for our guests to attend but something relaxing to do the day after the wedding if they choose (my fiance and I love a good pool day in Vegas!). Since everyone is traveling and spending the money to be at our wedding, we wanted to ensure we treated everyone to a great time!

My first wedding was in Vegas, we had ceremony, dinner, then party bus. This was also almost 20 years ago. I would suggest you feed those that are going on the party bus prior, not only because it's good hosting but things could get ugly without food in everyone's bellies.
