Vegas Promoters for clubs

Calling all Vegas natives or those who have been to Vegas for a trip. I got in contact with a promoter who is getting us into a club for free this weekend on our trip. My sister brought up a good point.. Is it customary to tip them? If so how much is good? I was thinking we should since he saved us $40 each cuz there’s a show..

Hey Angelena! How exciting to be heading to Vegas! Is this for your bachelorette party?
I would definitely recommend tipping the promoter that you will be working with, especially since he is saving you so much money.
How many of you will be going?

I'd wait to actually get in before tipping anyone. Vegas "promoters" are notorious for just dumping you off in one of three lines that will be incredibly slow for any popular club. There's the slowest line that general public walks up to. There's the "free" because a promoter put me on the "list" line that is slightly faster and still takes hours. There's the I'm willing to pay cover line. Then there's the I really know someone or am getting a table so I get in immediately line.
