Veil Length

Erin, on April 1, 2022 at 10:58 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 4 3
Anyone have any tips on how to choose a veil length? I tried on a fingertip-length one and a cathedral-length one when I tried on my dress, but my sister liked one and my mom liked the other and I have no clue so I’m not quite sure what to do! I attached a picture of the dress (not me in it) for reference and any tips, opinions, etc would be much appreciated!

How long do you plan on wearing your veil? It's length should fit the function you want it to serve. If you want it to be dramatic and plan on taking it off following the ceremony then a long veil works perfectly. If you want to wear your veil the whole night then perhaps consider a shorter veil. Either would look gorgeous with your dress!

I chose a waist-length veil so I could sit, dance, and carry on like usual while wearing it during the reception. If your veil is longer than waist length then you will probably end up sitting on it if you keep it in after the ceremony, which may pull it out or at the least disrupt its placement and possibly pull your hair.

My dress is similar to yours and at first I chose fingertip-length with rhinestone’s and I regretted.. I just bought a cathedral length to wear at my ceremony.

I think maybe the cathedral length would look good with this dress with its train. Smiley smile
