Veil over face?

Are there any brides wearing their veil over their face down the aisle? It seems like no one really does that anymore. I think it's beautiful when the groom lifts it up. I'm curious what other brides think about it?

I wore a blusher over my face. It's less trendy these days but I loved it, it made me feel very bridal, and I have no regrets. I love how it looked and we didn't have any awkwardness trying to lift it, plus you can have a BM straighten it out for you if it doesn't lay right when it is pulled back.

I'm wearing it over my face I personally feel like it's a waist of money if I don't. I also like the look

I plan to, but I won't know until I try it on and see how it looks.

I've thought anout it, and my grandma really wants me to do it. However, I am waiting for my dress to come before ordering my veil, so I will see how the look is overall.

I didn't, and it was the one thing my husband specifically asked me not to do. We both thought it would be weird not to be able to really see my face.

I want to, but I don't have my veil yet. I'm not going to wear it during the actual ceremony, I'll have my parents pull it back at the end of the aisle. ETA: blushers are normally incredibly sheer, so it's not like people actually cannot see your face.

I'm not wearing a veil, but if I was, it would not be over my face.

The veil over the face symbolically represents your virginity. Your husband lifts the veil and that symbolically consummates your marriage.

I'm not - it looks weird with my dress. My dress is by no means casual but it is all lace, no train, and backless. The veil over my face makes it look too much like I'm trying to make it look formal.

I'm not but that's a personal choice. By all means, wear it how it feels right to you!

I feel like the symbolism makes that hard for me to want to do it. That was really big when brides were virgins when they wed. I'm not going to say I know your status but I know statistics. It's not likely most are. Just my thoughts. I think it looks nice with some veils and dresses that way too.

This originated when brides were basically sold off to men by their family, so that the bride couldn't see the groom, or the groom couldn't see the bride, and no one would run away if they didn't like the look of the goods. Gross.

I am! I love the tradition of where it comes from in the church, but I'm pretty traditional. If you like it go for it, if you don't, don't sweat it.

ETA: I'm just wearing it over my face down the aisle of course; it will be pulled up when I get to the front.

I'm not. I don't care for the origin and symbolism of it. Plus, I'm spending too much money on my makeup to cover that up.
