Veil? Yes or No?

Claudia, on September 21, 2017 at 10:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 31

I'm still not sure about wearing a veil. I'm getting married in church at night and having a reception at a ballroom. My dress is strapless with empire waist (picture below) I still need to have it fitted. I am also not sure about my hairstyle. Do you recommend I wear a veil or not?

I think it's a personal choice. I didn't find veils to be comfortable or flattering on me. I decided I wanted to wear a headband and no veil because I felt that looked good on me and it was most comfortable. I think you should wear a veil if it makes you feel great and you like the way it looks with your dress.

Have you tried any veils on, yet?

@bluehenbride I have not tried any on but they look so pretty on every bride I've seen. I am not sure if they will look good on me

You should go into a bridal shop and try some on! You don't know for sure until you try.

Try them on. Can't know for sure until you see it on yourself. I've heard stories of brides having "that bridal moment" when they put the veil on.

I am also on the fence. A veil really does make you look more bridal but it can be tough to find the right veil. It depends on your hairstyle too. I say it's a personal choice. Your dress is lovely by the way Smiley smile

Thanks @LanaKane this is the back which is different from the many other dresses I tried on. Do you think a floor length veil will look better than a fingertip length one?
