I have decided not to wear a veil! I got a cute hair clip that I’m going to add flowers too instead!

My wedding is in 12 days and I still don’t know. I have one just in case. I figure I’ll put it on when I get dressed and see if I like it 🤷‍♀️ I’m leaning towards yes just because it’s the only time I’ll get to wear one. If I do wear it, I’ll probably take it off for the reception.

    Hello,

This is my second wedding and it's going to take place on the beach. So I prefer to avoid it flying all over the place. Now my first wedding was in the church, and I still did not care for the veil much. The wedding photos were lovely with the veil, though.

I am! I wasn't sure about it at first but when I tried one on with my dress, I fell in love with the look and just felt like a bride. I think I'll only be wearing it for the ceremony though!

I didn’t think I wanted one but when I found my dress and they ‘jacked’ me up, I loved it and had to have it

I am wearing a fingertip length veil. My stylist put a veil on when I found the dress, and I felt like it just completed my look. I ended up buying a much cheaper veil on clearance at DB, and I am wearing it more like a hair accessory instead of getting one to be "unveiled" at the ceremony.

This is exactly what I’m hoping to do, pending the dress I choose looks decent with a long veil. I don’t love bustles and don’t see the point of dealing with a train. I’ve never seen this combo before so I’m happy to hear that’s what you’re doing!

I am wearing a 2 tier fingertip veil, very simple just enough to accentuate.

I wasn’t going to until I saw the difference with and without.

I wasn't sold on wearing a veil until I tried one on by the same designer of my dress and it went beautifully with it. I would look to see if the designer of your dress make veils.

My train is long and detailed so I am choosing to not wear one and do floral arrangements in my hair to not take away from my dress

I wore a sheer cathedral length veil. You could still see all of the details of my dress, but it personally made me feel more like a bride. My veil was put in so tight, no one could get it off without messing up my hair, so I wore it whole night. In hindsight, I'm so glad I did! I think veils add a wow factor to a wedding gown, but I know they aren't for everyone. It comes down to what you want 😊Veils or no veils? 1

I wore a simple tulle fingertip length veil for our elopement. I figured getting married was the only time in my life I'd ever get to wear one, and found one inexpensively off of Amazon (<$15) so why not?

When Covid changed our wedding plans I figured I could switch up veils so that I'd have a different look for our elopement and our postponed wedding and reception next year even while wearing the same dress.

However, I ended up removing my veil after the first dance at our elopement because it just didn't feel like me. Also my hairstyle had not been done with the veil it mind so it was just kind of plopped on and didn't provide the look I wanted, but moreso the veil just felt like too much. I ended up liking the photos without the veil much more and doubt I'll wear a different one for our upcoming celebration and will just opt for a nice hairpiece instead. I ended up giving my veil to a co-worker's 4, almost 5, year old and she LOVES being a princess in it.

If you aren't dead set on having a veil, I'd recommend getting an inexpensive one to see if you like it. Amazon has several good quality ones of different styles and lengths, and if you are looking for a simple tulle option you can find them for under $20. There is no need to spend hundreds on a veil you'll only wear once, especially if you aren't 100% sure its your style.
