Hello everyone, I am having a issue finding the right vellum paper for my invitations. Does anyone know what size I should get to my the vellum jackets for my invitations? The invites are 5.5 x 8.5 and the envelopes that go best are 6 x9.5. I recently purchased vellum tracing paper thinking that it was good for my invites but the paper was really thin and the invites were a little longer than the vellum paper. Can anyone give me some advice on this please, I am really stuck and not sure what to do about this? Thank you

Go with the 12x18 and trim it to 6x18. Put the invite in the center and wrap it around the front. Vellum is supposed to be on the thin side.

Hello thank you for the help. Do you happen to know what the best type of vellum paper to purchase or where to get this size from? Amazon and Etsy doesn't have sizes larger than 7 x11 and 8.5 x11. Thank you so much.

I don’t know the difference between paper weights. Some types of paper, such as vellum, are only available in one or two weights. The link above is for 12x 18 paper specifically and they offer samples. You can do a Google search for “12 x 18 vellum paper” for price comparison and you are going to find mostly paper vendors. This is above Amazon and Etsy’s pay grade . You can always sell extras on your local Facebook wedding groups.

If you have a smaller size, instead of vellum jackets, you could cut the pieces and do vellum belly bands.
