Vendor Meals?

Malia, on September 27, 2021 at 6:58 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 11
Hey, y’all! I’m currently working on estimating numbers for catering, but I’m not entirely sure about vendor meals. I’m planning on having meals prepared for my coordinator, photographer, and videographer, of course, but I’m having a Catholic ceremony, so my DJ will only be present for the 4-hour reception. Does he need to be included as well? I imagine it’ll come down to the contract (we haven’t booked a DJ yet), but if the contract doesn’t mention a meal, would it still be considered proper etiquette to provide one? Thanks in advance!

Depending on contracts, we had vendor meals for servers and bartender as well (this may not always be necessary).

Yes, feed your dj too. Mine ate during cocktail hour when we were signing our marriage license.

    Yes, feed your DJ.

Food does not hinge on how long they are working for you. They are working through a meal time, therefore, they should be fed.

If they are working during the wedding and not dropping off items, you need to feed them. Talk to your caterer and find out what your options are. Try to feed them the same as what your guests are being fed, rather than a cold sandwich. Also make sure photographer and beauty team are fed while getting ready too.
