Our venue doesn't offer what yours is offering, but I think that would be just fine if you choose to do that over the reception entree!

I just accounted for them in the meals. I figured I don’t have a lot of them. And it is a good way to show appreciate them and make feel apart of it all. That and I only really have 3 people for that the others are also doing other things and will be at the wedding. The caterer can provide there own I felt but the sitters and movie watched I included them the photographer and video and dj were only 3 I had that were separate so I figured just include them in the buffet also and cake.

But you have to look and see what contracts also say and call for. But the 3 will be with us over 12 hours so I figured only right to feed them. But for before and things I just did pizza and snack stuff for the workers and helpers. Also had same set up for before and after for set up and clean up crew.

Our vendors ate what our guests ate.

Agree with this! Having worked as a wedding vendor for over a decade it is just so nice to have a warm meal after being on your feet working non-stop for 6-7 hours. (and that's at least 6-7 of work until eating, and then usually another 4-6 additional hours until the day is over).

Think about it How would you want to be treated?

We had vendor meals and our coordinator asked which meal all our vendors would prefer. Just like guests, vendors may have dietary needs so I would check with them about what they want to eat.

I’m using my reception entree. They are priced as half off and I don’t want them watching a sandwich while everyone else is eating steak and pheasant.

They're going to be there all day working hard so a good meal you can afford is the way to go. I can't imagine any caterer giving someone a sack lunch but they don't need a steak either. A compromise is possible and vendors are used to eating on the run so ask them what they would prefer.
