Vendor Recommendations: Modern or Traditional?

A mix. We went to bridal expo and searched online but most of the ones we ended up going with we had learned about from family and friends.

Mix. I found my venue and Photographer via the traditional way. The rest is probably all going to be via the internet.

Modern, I am the first of all my cousins to have a wedding (some are married, but didn't have wedding) and all of my parents, aunts, uncles, were married in other states or a long time ago. Weddingwire and Instagram have helped in the hunt so much!

Modern for sure! I did all my own research for our vendors. We're eloping so it wasn't hard.

Modern Seeing that we are having a destination wedding there was no word of mouth just internet searches and use of wedding wire. We did get recommendations from vendors on other vendors but we did research and negotiate and price comparisons and such.

Our officiant is our friend and our photographer is as well- she’s a professional but also a friend lol- our DJ we got through the vendor suggestions and reviews and our florist I found through a fb quiz- you know how those go- and I did A LOT of research before picking them. The HMUA I found while driving past the spa and googled it then got my hair done there and decided then

A little of both. we searched online for venues that would hold the amount of people we thought we would need. but also got some recommendations from people we knew got married in the area and their thoughts on their venues and we visited a few of those as well.

I'm a total planner and I do thorough research before I do (almost) anything so even if I was given recommendations by word of mouth - I backed it up with my own online research between the vendor websites, weddingwire, and the knot.

Although we went to a wedding at our now wedding venue 1 week before we got engaged so we actually experienced that in person without knowing which is fun!
