Vendor Response Time

I know I may not be the only client that my caterer is working with but I was told that when I officially book with my venue to shoot them an email to set up a taste testing. I sent them a booking confirmation email on the 19th. I hadn't heard anything for a few days so I sent them a follow up email...

I know I may not be the only client that my caterer is working with but I was told that when I officially book with my venue to shoot them an email to set up a taste testing. I sent them a booking confirmation email on the 19th.

I hadn't heard anything for a few days so I sent them a follow up email on the 24th. It's now the 29th and I still haven't heard anything.

What's the longest response time you've ever dealt with before hearing back from a vendor (or even a venue)? What do you consider a reasonable response time before following up (again or for the first time)?

    That's terrible! I would hate for that to happen. If it wasn't for the exclusiveness with the venue, I definitely would have hopped on another catering company that I like.

    That makes sense. I don't blame you. I guess I just have to suck it up and see if my venue manager can help push things a little bit.
