Vendors saying they don't service your venue.

Nikki, on June 3, 2019 at 12:07 PM Posted in Florida Planning 0 3
So have yall ever have any vendor tell you no to a service for no reason I'm just not understanding? OK so I'm looking for a vendor to set up beach ceremony decor and I have one vendor say he doesn't service that resort implying my venue, so I asked don't he do ceremonies from pensacola to destin my venue is located in Fort walton. So he said yes he do John Beasley beach but they don't do resorts, but shouldn't he said that earlier not we do do that resort implying that he does other resorts but not mine? So it will be set up in front of the resort on the beach which I have permission for I just don't understand why can't they do it? At least lie and say your booked on that day which it's a Sunday I just am not understanding. Now considering I'm looking for someone else I'm just trying to figure out have anyone ever experienced this while planning? I just wish he gave me an answer that makes sense makes me think he isn't legal or something.

Hey Nicki! I’m sorry that this is happening to you.

Is the issue that you booked at officiant for your wedding and now they are unable to perform the ceremony?

It’s a good thing that you figured this out now and not in a years time, there is still plenty of time to find a new officiant before September 2020.

Perhaps you could discuss this with the wedding coordinator in your resort. They may be able to provide you with some people that have previously worked at a wedding at your resort.

No not a Officant the set up for a beach wedding and my resort doesn't have a coordinator they allow you to bring any vendor that's why I do not understand the only logical explanation would be maybe they aren't legal but who knows there was alot of running around when he could have just said we don't do resorts in the beginning but to say we don't do THAT resort made me feel like there was something wrong with mine when they give you permission to have any vendor at your venue in my contract

    Oh sorry for misunderstanding Nikki.

Have you thought about hiring a day-of coordinator? They would set up the venue for you and would make sure that everything runs smoothly on the day. Since you ran into difficulty before, you will know to ask if they are restricted to certain resorts or area. If you are interested, you could look into day-of coordinators here - Florida Wedding Day-Of Coordinators.
