We were engaged on December 19, 2018 and signed the contract for our venue on January 11, 2019.

We got engaged in November and booked our venue in December. However, we had an 11 month engagement, so we had to move quick.

Congratulations. It took us 2 years, we booked our venue a few months ago. We waited this long because we wanted to buy a house first and get settled in. We have been in our home for a year now and felt it was time to now focus on our wedding.

We booked our venue 9 months into our engagement, but that was due to COVID. Engaged March 2020 and then waited for the vaccines to come out to solidify any of our plans!

We booked 4 months after our engagement but went looking at venues a couple weeks after the engagement. If that first one would have been the one we would have had it booked right then and there. Now with Covid and cancellations and postponements I think people should hop on vendors as soon as they can.

Congrats on booking hour venue, that’s a weight lifted off you shoulder I bet. Venue #1 we booked in July after being engaged in June. With all the international restrictions, we decided to cancel and booked venue #2 in October. Our wedding will be in July.

I would say within two months. that is one of the first things we did hahah. i have planned the rest of the wedding around the venue, i just fell in love when i toured the place and had to have it

I felt the same about my venue. Just as you did, I am planning my day around my venue. Girl I am obsessed. LOL
