Venue complications

Did they say how many guests they would be able to do? How much money will you lose if you switch venues?

Will they give you your money back? If so, I would call around first to check availability and to check with all of your vendors for availability, and then yes I would go with a more reliable vendor.

I don’t understand why venues all of sudden do things like this. It’s such an inconvenience! I understand your frustration. Things will work out! However what will be the worst case scenario in relation to the guest amount that they can work with? Do you have a big guest amount? They should have at least gave you a number or estimation! I think you have time to change venues!

We had a meeting in January exploring options of possibly having it outside. But now their stating that the zoo still has the final say and as of right they don't believe they will be able to host indoor and outdoor events with more than 20 people.

I would start calling around ASAP to see if there are other venues available for your date that would be able to accommodate a larger guest list. I would make sure you had something else locked down before giving up your venue, as many places are in the same position of having to limit guest lists.

Aww, I am so sorry to hear that! That sucks that they are just now letting you know. I would see what you can find elsewhere. There may be places that have had cancellations that could help you out. You can also ask your other vendors for recommendations on venues they have worked with before, too.

Michigan is still so tight on restrictions, restaurant's at 25% capacity, wedding halls in limbo. We still haven't had a food tasting due to indoor events are at a 10 person capacity.
