Venue Doubts

I think that's up to you in knowing if you're ok with losing $500?

like if you're ok with it then it would be better to go with the venue you prefer. but if you're not ok with it then just stick to the venue you have or see if you can just do ceremony only there and then the other place for reception, etc

Unfortunately, only you and your fiancé can make that decision. You have to decide you are okay with losing your deposit.

At the end of the day it is up to you however I would give this some more thought before making any decisions. We're set to lose $5,000 if we cancel our wedding (if COVID screws us over again) so I would gladly take a loss of $500 compared to that!

If you’re going to have regrets about your venue, then just walk away from it. Yes, $500 is a lot of money, but it’s not worth you feeling like you could have had something better. Can you budget afford a loss of $500? If so, I’d probably drop it.

What is it that your doubting about it? You and the are the only ones that can make the decision about the money. Some people really couldn’t spare it and to some it’s a drop in the bucket..

I guess you have to decide what’s more important and only you can make that decision.
