Venue Help/ Suggestions

Mona, on March 4, 2021 at 1:33 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9

Hi All. Me and my fiancé are planning a June 6, 2021 wedding. With a little over 90 days to go, we are still struggling over our wedding/ reception venue. Our theme is going to be a rustic wedding and since we are getting married in summer we want to use the great outdoors.

Anyone has any affordable rustic venue recommendations in Washington state. An hour travel from the Seattle neighbourhood would work the best. We looked into Maplehurst Farms, Evergreen Meadows and Des Moines Beach Park Event Center.

Any suggestions about the above-mentioned venues or new recommendations are more than welcome. Thanks in advance Smiley laugh

    Take a look at eventective.com

The Des Moines Beach Park house is gorgeous! Plus cheaper since it is run through the parks department and allows you more flexibility with vendors.

I would recommend looking at non-traditional venues like parks or recreational centers. Not sure why you've waited so long because 90 days really isn't a lot of time to plan an entire wedding.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will definitely look into some non-traditional venues.

To answer your question. My fiancé proposed to me in Aug 2020 and we were planning a larger traditional Indian wedding set to happen in India later this year. But with added travel restrictions and new visa rules, last month we had to take the difficult decision to postpone our Indian wedding. And we decided to do a super small intimate ceremony here in the US this summer. Giving us around 90 days to plan a wedding.

I know it isn't enough but with COVID that is something we are having to adjust and do with. Additionally, we will only be having 20 of our close friends who stay in the same state, and its going to be a super informal event. Just want something memorable to remember the day by.

My friend got married a few years ago at the Golden Gardens Bathhouse. It was beautiful and convenient for guests. It is smaller though so depending on how many guests you're planning to have it might not be an option.

I am actually getting married at Des Moines Beach Park next year. Depending on your size the dining hall there is beautiful and it’s such a great waterfront location.

Oh, that's amazing. Thank you. The venue does look beautiful. We'll be having around 30 people at the wedding. So not a lot. I'll look into it the venue website and other details.
