Venue help

Holly, on October 8, 2019 at 1:52 PM Posted in Ohio Planning 0 7
Has anyone else has a issue with a venue getting back with them? There is a venue that we are very interested in and I have reached out 2 to them with no contract back. It’s very frustrating.

    You reached out how??

    Phone or email?

Do they have openings on whatever days for tours of the venue?

Do they have any social accounts like facebook or Instagram? Or on wedding wire or the knot or even thru their website?

Can you show up there and speak to them personally?

This is definitely wedding season right now so I'm sure they're extra busy but I know your frustration girl.

I'm sorry to hear they're no longer taking bookings!

Lets see if we can find you somewhere simialr to this venue.

What is it about the venue you liked? Where about are you searching in Ohio?

How many guests are you planning on inviting?

I had this happen with several venues. At first, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed maybe there was a tech issue with the WW contact feature, so I would try an alternate method (e.g., direct email). If I didn't hear back in 2 weeks MAX, I crossed them off my list and moved on.

Even during peak wedding season, the best vendors all got back to me within 48 hours. Communication is super important to me, so if people weren't reasonably timely in their responses, I decided they weren't worth my business.

This happened to me with our original dream venue. We waited almost two weeks and decided that we should look at other venues...you want a venue that has a coordinator that responds in a quick amount of time. We looked elsewhere because it made me nervous about going through with a venue that takes forever to respond. For the record, I called this venue twice, emailed them twice, and had my fiance call....we went with a different venue.

I've had this happen with several vendors. Florist and hair/makeup people, especially. As a business owner myself, I do not understand this at all.

Takes forever for them to get back if you call with no answer next best bet is to just go down there, what I did first was try to check event calendars online to see if they had my date available, if I couldn’t find it on there I emailed or called, calling got faster results but in 2 cases I just popped in and was able to tour and check availability
