I've been thinking lately that I should ask the venue if they have an outdoor setup since it's a country club/golf course and COVID has screwed everything up. Then today I got the dreaded call. Bella Vita, who leases the property from Cavalier's Country Club has been impacted by the COVID restrictions (no dancing, 1 person at the bar at a time, fewer people per table etc.) and then on top of that, the country club decided to do construction. So, as a result, they are canceling all events until further notice and refunding deposits.
I'm grateful that I'm not losing money but I was hopeful that my 10/3 was safe. Now, I just don't know what to do. We're building a home and FH has said all along that he'd love for us to get married there, but now I'm just wondering if having a reception at all is a good idea? Will people even want to attend amid this mess? I can't blame them if they don't. Or should I just postpone the reception until COVID is behind us?
I just don't know! Thanks for allowing me to vent.
