Venue response time?

Follow your gut. Have you tried calling by phone? I would be cautious, there are many horror stories on here about unresponsive venues. This is the time when they should be on their A-game since they’re trying to earn your business.. if they can’t pull it together now, what makes you think it’ll be better in 2 years?

Thanks! This is a good point. I figured since we're a 2023 wedding, we aren't their priority. But something like an acknowledgment of our email would be reassuring. I understand people are busy, but I don't want to be completely ignored.

Stuff happens, so I wouldn't disregard one missed email, but if they seem chronically unable to answer even basic questions from a potential client then I hate to think of how they will serve you once you've already invested money and they have you on the hook.

Give them a call. If you don't get answers to your questions soon (or a reasonable explanation as to why they were delayed along with a timeline for prompt follow up), I'd look elsewhere.
