Venue search help!

Danielle, on August 9, 2018 at 8:19 PM Posted in Arizona Planning 0 13
Hi everyone! I’ve been searching for venues for over a month now and still haven’t somewhere that fits all my needs/wants. Ideally, I want a venue that allows me to bring in my own food caterer and alcohol. Does anyone know of places in Arizona that allow this? It can be whatever suggestions from wedding venues, to Airbnb, to vrbo! I’m really open to suggestions and ideas! Thanks Smiley smile

I don't know of anything in AZ, but it's important to understand that many/most Airbnbs forbid "events" and if you search past posts you'll find many from people who went that route but found it much more expensive than they originally expected (like, they acknowledge they would have been better off to go with a traditional wedding venue). Perhaps look at restaurants that have a private room or at places like VFW halls, etc. Good luck!

Find a caterer you would like to use and then ask what venues they have catered events at.

Having done quite a bit of DIY, I honestly think an all inclusive venue may be worth the extra money because it saves so much hassle. Just food for thought. Smiley smile

If you want a smaller and more relaxed view the air B&B had worked for several of my friends. When you look on the site use the filter and towards the bottom check "okay for events"

Also when I was at the wedding Expo recently they were launching a new venue search site called weddingvenuemap.com

There are several filters to help you narrow the results down to what you are looking for in a venue. I believe there was one about being open to all vendors. That should help.

I found the venues in touring this weekend there and I'm very excited I found them since I had not found them using any other search engine and they are exactly what I'm looking for!

The venue I am getting married allows for any caterer and the bar is BYOB but they you must use their bartender. I am not sure if this helps. The venue is in Gilbert and is called Portico Weddings and Events. Good luck!

We brought in our own caterer (my hubby and his friends). While we did their alcohol (~$5/pp for beer and wine and sodas), they do allow BYOB. Aldea Weddings at The Landmark in Mesa. Joseph and Krista were AMAZING to work with. My day went exactly as my husband and I envisioned, thanks to them! Good luck! It was tough finding somewhere to bring in your own caterer - the only other place we found was NOAH's, but you must use their alcohol.

My sister got married at the Secret Garden in Phoenix, it was a beautiful venue and she was able to bring in vendors.

Also I looked at the Falls Event Center in Gilbert allows you to bring in all your own vendors and has really pretty photo opportunities around the property.

MonOrchid is very pretty and bringing in all your own vendors is basically the only option they have. Hope that helps 😊🤗

We are getting married at Red Agave Resort in Sedona (https://www.redagaveresort.net). The agency I work for has its end of year retreat there every year and our owners got married there as well. It's a great space with individual A-frame cabin units that all face a big courtyard with a gorgeous view of Bell Rock. It's a blank slate, you can bring in whatever vendors/food/alcohol you want! Everyone has the best weekend when we go every year and I knew that it would make such an incredible wedding weekend!
