We toured about 13 venues altogether, though I probably researched about 30 before deciding on which ones to tour. Our venue actually ended up being the last venue we looked at. We narrowed it down to our venue and another one and ended up with our venue because it wasn't all-inclusive, which meant I could have the vendors I wanted (and which probably ended up saving us a little money).

We booked the first one we toured. FH was sold just through their website but I was like "wait babe we have to see it in person". So we went and both fell in love. he was like "I told you this was the one" lol

I contacted many and looked at 10. I booked the 1st one I looked at. I didn't book right away because it was the most expensive and I wanted to look at my options before committing to it. None of the others compared so I went with my heart!!!

I sent probably 30+ inquires. We had a destination wedding and we knew we wanted to get married at a resort hotel—there’s a ton in Orlando! We had our hearts set on one and decided to fly down and see it, but since we were flying down I figured we might as well add one more. I picked the venue where I liked the sales manager the best—she had been the most responsive. I did also like the ceremony location.


We visited location one, the one we thought based on past experiences staying at the hotel would be the shoe-in, in the morning and didn’t care for the customer service nor the ceremony spaces (outdoor or rain backup locations). We didn’t have a budget but thought it was way overpriced for what you got. Good thing we had that second appointment in the afternoon! We loved the second venue and signed the contract on the spot.

Thanks for your response, Nicole! I have a feeling we too will wind up seeing at least a few more in person yet (since the postponement we've seen 3). Wither or not we go with an all-inclusive will probably just depend on if they're willing to work with the vendors we already have, mainly the photographer and DJ. Congratulations on finding the venue, I'm glad it worked out that you both picked the one you got to keep!

Thanks for your reply, Kylie! We definitely have a few must haves like an indoor backup in case of rain too. The overpriced thing was our experience at the venue we honestly thought we were going to go with based on the pictures, reviews and customer service but it was a lot smaller than expected and it wasn't disclosed for our guest count we had to rent two different spaces that were basically two different rooms and didn't feel like it would be good to have our guests divided. I know how that made me feel at wedding and wouldn't want that for our guests.

We looked at 3 other venues but when we walked into the final one we immediately knew that was it. Unfortunately we just had to cancel our upcoming March wedding because of Covid. Thankfully we were able to receive a full refund

Just one! Due to COVID we did a lot of research online, contacted some for pricing, had phone calls to ask some more specific questions, then we visited our favorite in person and we loved it so that was that.

We toured 5 venues and picked the 4th. It was NOT a love at first sight, we knew instantly feeling. Basically my fiancé is extremely picky in what he likes and had a specific look he wanted. The first place we looked at we agreed was beautiful but it didn’t offer a lot of what we wanted. The second place he said absolutely not, the coordinator was pushing alcohol hard on us and he doesn’t drink, so he was really turned off. The third place fit his vision more and had a lot of what we were looking for. The fourth and our choice was everything I wanted and most of what he wanted. It had a beautiful outdoor space, the inside was extremely elegant, they had some outdoor space for the games he wanted set up, and the food was delicious. The fifth one, which was his first choice, was beautiful inside but there was no outdoor space. So we narrowed down to 4 and 5 and agreed 4 gave us what we wanted the most and was the most bang for our buck.

Thanks for your response, Allie, and I completely understand that. Up to this point we've either thought we found one that would be great but then found out there were other issues that would prevent us from using the venue (such as not being fully accessible by wheelchair which is a necessity since both FH and I have disabled family) or it only fit one of us. We're going to try a type of venue that we haven't seen yet and see how we feel about it, so hopefully it goes better than the others have!
