Venue wall color different than your colors?

Venue wall color different than your colors? 1

Hey all, I just want some feedback on your thoughts. We found a venue in our budget and its perfect. However the walls are a light green color and the window coverings are white.

Our wedding colors are black, burgundy, and gold. I just want to know if it will be something our guests will notice and wonder what? lol

Picture of our venue area and our vision.

My colors are teal and peach - the rug in my venue is navy blue with gold nautical rope design. 🤣🤣🤣 It really really does not bother me at all. I think guests are more focused on the food, the comfort of the chairs, temperature and size of eating area in their immediate space.

If anything, the green may highlight the burgundy! I don't think it will be an issue.

My venue had yellow walls and our colors were navy blue and white. It was noticeable but not a deal breaker for me.Venue wall color different than your colors? 3

Could you possibly get some draping to cover the walls?

Looks like you're going for moody, sexy, goth. Your walls are actually light green and white which is a bit more cheery. Normally, I would say it is easier to base colors off your venue, but there are ways of focusing your style. I would recommend removing the venue's white drapes and leave them bare. The outside light will change from day to sunset to evening light. You could also set up fake tealights on the windowsill or tables with candelabras/ candles to create more dramatic mood. Or you could hang down twilights from the curtain rods for whimsy romance. You could even add amber or red uplighting. Then once the walls are more neutralized, I'd aim focus on the tablescape with your place settings, centerpieces, and more candles. I would not use the overhead flourescent light. Best wishes.

Guests know and understand that the ceiling, walls, carpet, etc are out of your hands and don’t care about them if they even notice. Based on the photos, I couldn’t tell the walls weren’t white/ivory. Don’t overthink it.

Nah don’t think guests will pay too much attention to that I know I’ve never paid much attention to those details as a guest haha buuut I get it as a bride you notice and think of everything our venue has gray walls and gray floor and our color theme is all white so doesn’t necessarily add to the theme but it is what it is🤷🏽‍♀️ Too hard to find a venue that matches one’s budget and wedding colors as well🤷🏽‍♀️

Alright lol, and yes so true, as the bride we notice the little things. I figure if we go all out decorating the tables then that's where the focus will be decor wise. 😀 I hope it works for me lol. We will only be inside for dinner, the ceremony and yard games (we don't do dancing) will be outside in the biiiiiiig outside area.

Your guests will not notice or remember the color of your walls. But that pale green should complement the burgundy since they're near opposites on the color wheel. You are totally fine

Ask them if you can put some type of color draping to cover up the color of the walls and up lighting too blend in that color
