Venue with no A/c

Morgan, on September 17, 2019 at 4:29 PM Posted in Michigan Planning 0 8
Hi everyone! I’m getting married this upcoming Saturday. We figured that a late September wedding would be fine for a venue with no a/c. Now here’s our surprise that the forecast predicts a high of 83 on our wedding day. Our venue has three sets of double doors on each side which will allow for some cross breeze and our wedding is around 5 pm but I’m still worried it will be too warm! Any recommendations or experiences similar?

Check rental companies to see if any of them have industrial size fans

Have plenty of ice water available for your guests! Maybe rent some fans?

My wedding is in 11 days and the weather is expected to be around 90 degrees. Pretty normal for SoCal. When I ordered my cake my bakery wouldn't let me have buttercream only because they were afraid it would melt, she said fondant would hold up thru the heat. My ceremony and reception are all inside with A/C tho so hopefully it doesn't break.

I live in South Carolina, so 83 feels pretty darn good to us lol

If that's considered pretty hot where you live, I would see if any event rental places have a couple of fans available for rent to help with the cross breeze!

I would definitely rent or borrow some large fans.

Likely by 5:00 it won’t be that hot. I got married on the beach in Florida in May and there was a bit of a breeze but it was warm. Our ceremony only lasted about 20 mins so everyone was fine.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as Cyndy. By 5:00pm, the worst of the heat will be gone, and temps will be going back down. I don't know what part of the country you are in, but September in California can be pretty hot still. So, if the high is forecast at 83, then by 5:00pm, it shouldn't be hotter than 80, which is very comfortable by my standards. I think it's great that your venue has the setup to create a cross-breeze. Even just getting some air flowing will help. But if that still seems to hot for you or your guests, you should look into renting some fans.
