Venue

I don't know if it's just my area, but I'm having a really hard time getting venues to message me back! I also had a venue, that I really liked, blow me off because they were hard to accommodating 300+ people and I should look for something smaller. Aka, they didn't want to waste their time on 150 people. I'm finding a lot of venues that are my style are far away from where I live around 2 hours or more. Any insight on travel weddings and if people actually show up?

With the huge wedding surge right now, its unfortunately becoming more common to not hear back from vendors, or venues being more choosy on what weddings they accept. I love a good short-destination wedding that can be driven to, makes it feel like a nice little getaway. However, you will probably have a lesser acceptance rate due to people's financial strains, family obligations, etc. But in the end, you will still have the people that matter there!

Exactly what Samantha said for everything!

It is wedding season right now and a lot of people are getting married all of 2022. Therefore, they may be SUPER busy. I suggest following up when you can or even calling them directly. If they do not answer then still leave a voicemail and what are the best times to contact you (in case you are working, in school, have an appointment, etc.).
