Does that date hold significant meaning? Only saying if you don't have a venue, your dates not set in stone.

I would say, if you know the site you want, go get it. Due to the pandemic, weddings have been rescheduled and backlogged, so putting a deposit down now for May 2024 doesn't seem that outlandish nor too soon. I'm getting ready to put down my deposits after the 1st of the year, and a few spots are already filling up fast due to taking weddings that got cancelled with them due to the pandemic ahead of newcomers. Honestly how it is looking, do it now! Lol I have mine set for Sept. Of 2024 and the place I have been looking at are just about booked for 2023 and half of 2024 so do it now

As soon as possible if you can! We got engaged in 2021 and due to the pandemic and others getting married as well we booked our venue at the top of this year. Our wedding is September 30th, 2023, however the venue is one of the most important things for us. Also the sooner you pay it off the better you feel and also less stress towards the end! Good luck!
