Venue/no open dance floor

Jennifer, on October 23, 2020 at 8:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hello Ladies,
Anyone else thats having their wedding in Riverside county? My venue just told me they’re not having an open dance floor due to CDC Guidelines. March 27,2021 is my wedding. They also said they should know by next year in January 2021 if they will reopen dance floor. I don’t know if I should hold off invitations until next year in January 2021 or postponed my wedding for the second time! They are willing to refund us our deposit and payments made. If I’m having my Reception somewhere else. I don’t want to start over with finding a reception venue or telling my videographer, photographer etc if they have another date available. This really sucks to have a venue but no open dance floor! 👎🏻 What would you do?

I would come up with a backup plan with your vendors just in case, but in the meantime, I would wait until January to see if they have a better idea of if the dance floor will re-open by your wedding date. If not, then I would turn to the backup plan at that time (whether that means either postponing or finding a new venue). That is a relief that they're willing to refund all payments if you do decide to switch venues!

I am also getting married in Riverside County in January, and my venue has not mentioned anything to us about the no dancing rule YET! We are having that conversation in the next few weeks. But I’m sure we would postpone. I would hold off on sending invites until then to make the proper decision. We will send invites after we confirm with our venue.

    Hi Karina,
I hope everything goes well on your meeting. Let me know what your venue tells you in a few weeks. I’m curious to know if all Riverside County have the same CDC Guidelines or it’s just my venue doing it for their safe practices.

My wedding is Feb. 14 and my original venue told us that there was a chance that they wouldn't hold our wedding. They gave us the option to either wait it out, postpone, or get a refund. We chose to look for another venue with lax guidelines.

We have the same wedding date! (Well that's my big wedding date) we are waiting until January to see what happens with Covid and to make a decision
