It really depends what type of venue you're talking about. My venue has everything including food, I just need decorations and people !

Our venue is $1,200. Includes chairs, tables, various decorations, setup, entire day access, and we can bring all of our own vendors in.

I chose a restaurant so the food was included. There wasn't a venue fee for using it. Just paid for the food basically. All the linens and plates were already there.

We got married on a Friday in November, so we were given a discount. $3800 for ceremony/reception. Price included tables, chairs, linens, DOC, and DJ in Grand Rapids, MI.

We got super lucky with our venue! The previous sales manager (who ended up quitting 2 weeks later) accidentally quoted us a $0 fee for the venue (both the ceremony AND reception spaces) as long as we met a $1500 Food/beverage minimum. That was an insanely good deal so of course we immediately signed a contract. Turns out, it was actually supposed to be the rental fee PLUS the 1500 minimum. But the new sales manager said that since we signed the contract for $0 she would honor it!! So we are essentially getting our venue free!

We truly are! And it includes tables, chairs, linens (although we won’t be using them since we wanted another color besides basic white), plates, silverware, all setup/tear down, and a day of coordinator!

Our venue didn’t have a rental fee, but required 175 guest count minimum in order to get the ballroom we wanted so essentially we’re just paying per plate.

We're getting married in a really small town (about an hour & 1/2 from where we live) so we got our venue for an amazing price! Everything was at least $4,500-$5,000 where we live (and we wanted to stay around $3,500 or under for the rental). We got our venue for only $1,800, and that includes a Thursday-Saturday rental for our Saturday wedding, tables, chairs, table cloths, a sound system, and use of their decorations!

We paid $4,000. Both our ceremony and reception will be held there and it includes linens, tables, chairs, plates/silverware/glassware, and an officiate plus a bartender and 4 staff members and a security guy. We get to bring in our own food and alcohol, too. The ceremony will be beside their small lake and then the reception in a renovated barn.

Our venue is nearly all-inclusive so almost all of our budget ($20k) is going to them with the exception of the flowers, stationery and our personal decor we want to add.
