Hello guys, my name is Benedicte my wedding is in July, I am originally from the west side of Africa. I have been looking for wedding reception venues that would allow us to do our own catering but I am having such a hard time because every place I look for they want to cater for us, but I need to feed my guest the food from my country. Most of the people would be from there anyways. I am in the quad cities, please can anyone give me some suggestions? Guest number in 150.

I don't have any specific suggestions, as I don't know where the "quad cities" are - but have you looked into non-traditional venues? (Parks, community halls/centers, the VFW hall, that kind of thing) They'll be more likely to let you self-cater than a traditional venue, since they won't hold liability if someone gets ill.

Hi Benedicte! Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming nuptials! I used to live in the Quad Cties, so I understand the struggle of finding a venue that allows outside catering! Here are a few wedding venues that I know allow outside food to be brought in. Hope one of them works for you!
