Hi Tierra! Have you checked the Vendor tab here on Wedding Wire for venues? You can filter by the ones located in your area, and they should give you information on general pricing and such. Also check out the vendors listed on The Knot! Ask the venues about whether you can bring in outside caterers before signing another contract. Also check with non-traditional venues, such as aquariums, museums, historical libraries, city/county parks, theaters, etc - those may be more willing to allow outside caterers than a typical wedding ballroom, and may even be cheaper to rent than a typical wedding venue.

A lot of places have their own in-house catering so you might be limited on options. I will say I'm not really sure how you booked a caterer without having a venue because without a venue secured you don't really have a date. That being said I would recommend looking at non-traditional wedding venues like parks or community halls.
