Vera wang engagement ring

Laura, on January 9, 2017 at 1:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

My fiance proposed on July 4 2016 with a beautiful Vera Wang ring from Zales. I am so in love with this ring but I have had 2 bring it back to Zales twice now because the smaller diamonds in the outer halo have fallen out? I stopped wearing the ring to work after one of the diamonds fell out (I'm an ER nurse) but now it's happened again? And it takes up to 4 weeks to get the diamonds replaced. Does anyone with this style of ring have the same problem??

A lot of people have had issues with Zales, Kay, and Jared. At this point, I'd have him return it and buy from somewhere else.

I also have a Vera Wang engagement ring, not the same style but it's kind of similar. He proposed in December of 2015 and I haven't had any diamonds fall out. One of them got loose once but they were able to fix that within an hour. (Mine is from Jared though and it's different to tighten up a loose stone than to completely replace it)

Did you ask them if people have that same issue often?

My suggestion would be to get a recommendation in your area for local jewelers and take it to someone who really knows jewelry and isn't trying to just squeeze money out of you. A local jeweler (especially a good one) could probably over hall the whole ring and give it a more permanent fix because they just straight up care more about you and your experience with them.

I have a ring from Zales and have had no problems and a nurse as well. Smiley smile I was told the fit is important. Is it the right size or need to be resized?

I had an engagement ring from Zales from a previous relationship and I had so many problems with my diamonds in the halo falling out. It got to the point that I was afraid to wear it. If you continue to have issues with it, I'd ask if it's possible to exchange it.

I have a halo ring from a different retailer than those three and I haven't had any problems. I take my ring in every couple months for them to check and make sure nothing is lose but I haven't had any problems in the year I've had mine.

I have a Vera Wang engagement ring and never had any problems. I think it's the jeweler and not necessarily the ring.

I would take it to another reputable jeweler in your area and get an expert opinion on what is going on then you can proceed.

My ring is from Kay and I had a diamond fall out within a month of wearing it. After I got it back I stopped showering in it since I think it can easily get caught on my hair which would pull on it. I haven't had any problems since *knock on wood*

I have a Vera Wang engagement ring and band and have never had an issue. I wear a Qalo ring to the gym, clinicals, hiking, anything active. I take my ring off if I'm washing dishes or in the shower.

I too have a Vera Wang engagement ring, but purchased from Jared. I have had it for almost a year now, and no issues. However, I take mine in every 6 months for cleaning and inspection.

I have a ring of a similar design, not Vera Wang, but also from Zales. I've had one of the small stones fall out, too

I had a Vera Wang from Zales that did the same thing after two days of wearing it. Luckily, we had a super nice manager at the store who gave us an identical ring. She claimed that it must've been defective if two diamonds already fell out.

It seems as if the setting is defective. I would demand they replace it. It has only been 6 mos.

I also have a Vera Wang engagement ring, different style, from Zales and have had no problems with it at all. I've had it for about 2 years now, it's gotten it's routine cleaning but no diamonds falling out or anything like that. It sounds like the band might be defective, or the prongs holding the diamonds. Maybe have it inspected by an independent jeweler?

I had two small diamonds in my ring fall out after the settings broke. I stopped wearing my ring doing anything with water (shower, dishes, etc.) and when I sleep. I haven't had any problems since, thank goodness.

I do not have that style of ring, but I had he same issue with the promise ring my fiancé got me from Zales years ago. They claim it's due to resizing but it seems to be a problem they have often, and other retailers don't. Sorry! Wish I had a better answer.

Maybe take it to a private jeweler, and pay for them to work on it.

How disappointing. I'd return the ring sounds like they aren't made well : /.

I also have a Vera Wang engagement ring from Zales. I have had it for almost 2 years and have never had an issue with it. The smallest Vera rings come in is a size 6. (that's what the manager said anyways). Since I wear a 5.25 the manager recommended ordering a 6 and having it sized correctly. She said with smaller diamonds they can easily get loose if the ring is sized up/down more than one size. Perhaps that is your issue? If so, I would recommend talking to a manager and seeing if there is anything you can do about it.

I have a Vera Wang e-ring from Zales, pretty sure the same as yours, and have had no issues with it. Got it 8/2015 although FH bought it 4/2015. I make sure to take it off anytime I sleep/shower/do dishes or cleaning/working out and get it inspected every 6 months.
