Veri app vs. Ww's Wedsocial app

Personally, don’t make me as a guest install an app that I might or might not be able to easily figure out how to use just to show you pictures. For a post-millennial crowd, a hashtag is probably easier to explain.

MY FBIL used Veri in his wedding (past november) and they got A TON of photos from guests.

They setup the app for their parents and siblings (and closer friends) ahead of time so no one had to "learn" about it the day of. I was in the wedding so no photos from me besides a few cute ones of our nieces getting ready (flower girls). If you plan it right I think it is cool.

We're interested in using a photo sharing app as well. Following to hear feedback.

I have the wedsocial app on my phone and attached to our website. Have not heard of veri. I loaded it as I am typing and it is (in my opinion) an insane amount of money. Is it only me that purchases it and our guests just sign in? How does that work? Could be worth it if no one else has to pay for it. I like the idea that their pics will be automatically uploaded for us to see.

From what I understand only we (the wedding hosts) pay for Veri and it's free for the guests to use. If that's true I think it's quite a deal - $129 + 20% off to get all pics my guests take (assuming they use the app) at up to 5 events... I am thinking the value add here is more at the shower, bach party, etc... the events that won't have an actual professional photographer... in my head I know my girlfriends (at least) will be snapping away at the shower and bach party so having access to those pics is worth it to me... and knowing they are automatically uploaded to a safe but accessible place without any guest effort after the app set up seems like an easy way to get them...

I was looking at it and for one event (which is all I need) is $69. I am going to post about on my facebook event page and if everyone is willing to download and use it, then I think it will be well worth it. I don't want to miss out on any good pics as I know there will be good ones from my guests.

I was reading about this on reddit too someone gave a really long review about it and how awesome it is and they actually paid for just one event and extended the time (Review Here if interested) I just found this app and am really interested love the idea of candid photos that automatically send to me that people would not otherwise think to share.

This is very true. I would rather use them for the bridal shower and bachelorette party cause at my actual wedding i will have professional photographers! Thanks for mentioning this.

Also the photos uploaded to Veri seem to be so redundant, cause people take 2-3 photos of the same thing so yes, there are a lot of photos but some are blurry, unclear and their of the same thing just different angles.

We are doing the Veri app at the wedding we played around with it and the fact that it will just send us all the pictures was a feature we liked. I talked with people coming/in the wedding to get opinions and they all agreed with was better and we really didn't want to do the whole hashtag thing. I got a coupon code for 40% off and only using 1 event so it came to $40 so if it works and we can get some candid pictures of guests/us it will be worth it.

I read reviews that pushed me too, if you do a hashtag or ask for photos people will send you what they think you'll want but personally I want the candids people laughing without being told and enjoying themselves.

I *think* I must have entered my email on their webpage because I was constantly getting emails with coupon codes until I actually signed up lol!!! I waited for a good one though haha

View Quoted Comment There is some information on the website about it expiring at a certain time, I honestly can’t remember what it was (this was a while ago). However I was concerned about the same thing with the expiring the dates so I called or emailed something with customer service and they told me that the website was an accurate and that they don’t expire. Hope this helps.

I dont think people will download an app. it also seems a bit creepy that veri will automatically collect every photo they take. i'm just going to use a hashtag and/or tacboard.
