Vertigo on the wedding day 🤦‍♀️

Kelsey, on July 22, 2018 at 8:01 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 12
So I get terrible vertigo.. & my BIGGEST fear is that I’m going to get vertigo on my wedding day. My wedding day isn’t until next May but I’m already freaking out! I’m wondering if anyone has had vertigo on their wedding day and what did they do or if they had gotten sick and how they dealt with it? Thank you!!

No advice. My biggest fear is passing out during my wedding too. I've have passed out several times in my life (and ironically mostly at church). Hopefully we both enjoy our weddings without verigo or passing out!

Drink lots of water and do grounding exercises! My favorite (the one that always helps me when I’m having lots of anxiety and feeling like passing out) is to name (out loud, or in your head) 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste. Helps ground you and keep you focused on what’s real!

I have frequent vertigo spells also for the past year. Mine are brief (1-2 seconds) but cause me to lose my balance. I cant imagine having that feeling any longer than that. MRI in the morning. Yikes. Has your dr given you anything? I hope your day is vertigo free!

I dont have vertigo, at least i dont think so, i have to get checked out soon, anyways. I DO however get dizzy spells and feel sick to my stomach A LOT. Ice water/ice packs and ginger tablets are my lifesavers. Just take a breath. Think about what helps relieve your symptoms and make sure your DOC/WP and MOH know what helps. đź’ś

I have had them for about 20 yrs. since I was about 8. And I feel like I have tried about everything. It can be very annoying.

Physical therapy can help with vertigo if you’re dizzy! You need to see someone that specializes in vestibular disorders! So that’s certainly an option! And for your wedding day make sure you have meclazine on hand in case

I am sorry that you are having to deal with this. I had vertigo from an inner ear infection I caught while traveling. It was a nightmare! Meclizine was a life saver for me.

I hope that you can get it taken care of before your big day!
