Super October 2017

Very very sad.

Looking through all the forums right now and realized something....

A lot of you are doing the Taco truck thing. My sister had one at her sweet 15 party and I felt like all my family has been there done that. I hired an actual chef to serve gourmet food and now regret it. We're Taco obsessed Smiley sad

So serve tacos after dinner as a late night snack.

eta: If your family has "been there, done that", it's better to have a change for once. I like tacos just as much as the next person, but it can get messy. I've never heard someone say they're disappointed they're serving gourmet food instead of tacos at a wedding.

Honestly, an actual chef serving gourmet food sounds way better for a wedding.

Why would you want to serve your family something they already had at a 15 year olds birthday party at your wedding?

Your plan sounds better. If I spent XXX on your wedding and XXX hours of my time to get a taco?

    I wouldn't be pleased, honestly.

You could do little ones for appetizers; that's all over in my area.

I'm not a big fan of tacos.

My MIL told me about the time they flew to her cousin's wedding, and all they had was a taco bar. He's a Dr. and the reception was at a country club, so the guests expected much more. Obviously, they're still talking about it.

I saw a taco bar as the entrée on "Four Weddings" once; that bride got the lowest score, of the evening.

I think you'll wind up being happy in the long run with an actual chef and gourmet food at your wedding. I agree with others - have the taco truck show up for late night snacks, ask the gourmet chef about taco appetizers, or get Mexican catering for your rehearsal dinner. My FH is BBQ obsessed and wanted it for our wedding, but it was more casual than what I wanted to do, so we're hiring a BBQ restaurant to cater our rehearsal dinner. Best of both worlds.

I won't get one lol I'm just being sad about it.

I'll just grab some on my way to the hotel.

I do love the rehearsal idea though. I think I just might.

I wanted to do taco truck but then somehow got talked into catered bbq. Definatly cheaper for taco truck but I think gourmet sounds amazing!
