Videographer!

Yes ma'am. I did it with a photographer as crazy as it sounds lol

How exciting!! Congratulations on finding a great deal! My fiance and I made a similar decision, we initially weren't booking a videographer for our original date. But, since we postponed, we've had more time to consider it, and decided to change our minds and book a videographer for our new date. We haven't found one yet, but we're talking with a few options, so hopefully will book one soon!

Im on the fence with a party bus. Our ceremony and Reception are at the same location but we are taking an hour to do photos at the park. But we are thinking bridal party stay back and us, driver and photographer go to the park down the street but then I kind of want to get a party bus to get everyone going and in party mode. We are doing a first look so thought we could take all bridal party shots before everything starts. not sure what to do haha!

We're also having a first look, and our photographer told us that it would allow us to take most of our family, couple, and bridal party shots before the ceremony, leaving more time for us to hang out and have fun afterwards! I'd ask your photographer about that to see what they say! But I think a party bus would be super fun!

Yes! We weren't going to book a videographer or a photo booth but our photographer gave us an AMAZING deal for all three that we had to do it!

Oh yes, that was definitely a good deal!

We originally did not care about having a videographer. However, once we started planning and doing a bunch of research, we realized a videographer was something we could not do without! Our videographers were amazing and worth every penny! You will not regret your decision to hire one!

Our biggest issue was the price! The ones we had looked at were well over $1k for a basic package, and that was just something we couldn't justify spending that kind of money on. But our videographer actually reached out to me and notified me of his half-off all packages deal! We're really excited, and I'm even happier because we're supporting a small business!

I totally hear that. That was a big reason we were not sold on the idea originally. Spending $3,500 just didn't seem like a wise choice. But after seeing other wedding videos and realizing what we were actually getting (our entire day, live action, forever!), we realized it was totally worth it. We just cut back on other, less important, items.

Congratulations! We actually hadn’t planned on having a videographer either. But, after we were forced to postpone, we reevaluated and realized we actually really wanted to have those memories. Photos are fantastic, but they don’t allow you to hear your loved ones voices, see them interact, etc. I also didn’t plan on having real florals. Now flowers and videography are two of our biggest expenses 🤦🏼‍♀️😆

Yes after we saw how great of a deal it was, we jumped on it! I told my FH how I wanted our vows and first dance to be recorded, but we didn't want it to look like a shoddy phone or home video haha! The videographers we talked to before the one we booked gave us quotes that were still WAY too much for what we were wanting. This will have the whole day for less than those quotes so yay!!!

Same thing happened with us! We originally did not want to spend money on a videographer, BUT because of covid, and having to downsize our guest list (about three months before our wedding), I decided I wanted a nice video for our guests who couldn't join us in person. So I researched videographers and found an amazing deal that we couldn't pass up too! Definitely didn't regret the decision at all!!

Absolutely!

in my culture, we do entrance/welcome photos - which means the bride and groom greet guests coming in and take a photo with them that they will later on get at the end of the night.

i wanted to skip that entirely because it was extra $$, it was kind of waste of my time [you stand there for literally an hour or more waiting for guests to filter in and it's tiring]. and it was something i just didn't want to figure out.

i ended up doing it because both our moms were hellbent on it. and i just didn't want to fight that battle anymore.

in the end i am so glad i did it! because that's literal the only photo you might get with those people and that might even be the only time you really interact with them again later in the night [i had a large wedding of 250 people].
