Videography advice needed

So I am not sure how to explain what I am looking for, which is why I probably can't find it, but I'll simplify as much as possible so maybe you might be able to point me in the right direction. I am doing a destination wedding at the beach in Perdido Key in June. I have several family members who just can't physically make the trip and they are also not tech savvy. And let me add that I am not much on posting live on social media so that is not an option. Anyway, I need to find a videographer to record our ceremony for us so we can have it to show to relatives and also as a keepsake of our special day. The problem I'm running into, is they want $500+ minimum and that includes several hours of video and editing. I only want my ceremony videoed. Does that make since? I mean literally 45 minutes at the absolute most and I'm sure no more than an hour regardless. Is this something that just isn't heard of anymore? I am on a very tight budget because I am also moving the week before the wedding across states. I just don't have the money to stretch that much. My photographer is included with my venue thank God. I asked for recommendations from them but the only place they gave me was base $2000. EEEK

Hey there Smiley smile I totally understand what you’re looking for, however, the reason you may be getting pricing for minimum packages of $500+ as opposed to an hour for the ceremony is because if a videographer takes this booking from you, he/she can’t do another wedding which may be potentially worth more $ to them. I believe minimum packages are a way of protecting themselves. I hope this makes sense Smiley smile

If you don’t have the budget for this, would you consider asking a family member or friend to record it for you? If you do, make sure you give them a front-row seat to capture any audio!!
