vip Bridal Show Worth It?

??, on January 1, 2018 at 7:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
Hey, I was thinking about going to a bridal fair and i have a choice between regular and VIP tickets. Is VIP ever worth it at those things? I'm so lost!

Nah, the VIP tickets aren't worth it IMO. Also ditto OG Gretchen, don't give out a phone number or email address you don't want totally spammed afterward.

I wouldn't pay extra. My ticket was free and I'm happy I didn't pay anything at all. The one I attended a few months ago was underwhelming. Maybe my expectations were too high but there wasnt nearly as much vendors as I thought and I stayed for 30 minutes. One vendor I emailed a week prior to it and when I talked to them in person at the show (didn't know they would be there), I received the same quote as I did via email. I also got contacted after frequently about winning things. I'm happy I went so I didn't feel like I missed out on an experience but I would have been upset if I would have payed for it. I've heard of others having a great experience though.

Bridal shows are for the most part useless if you factor in the amount of spam mail and sales pitches you have to deal with afterwards. I was getting texts, emails, and phone calls for months. Also anything you “win” is a sales pitch and a scam.

So ladies, I am planning a bridal show and seeing you response to ones in your area. What would you want to see and what would make it more enjoyable?

    Tanya,

The shows are good however it would be great if our addresses that are provided for prizes were not given out or sold especially to spam/scam vendors like the pots and pans that you are emailed as a winner and to receive you must attend a 90 min presentation that last 2 hours. We brides love the information that is valuable and valid but most of all beneficial. Wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, venues, photography, dance lessons, cakes, florist, session on DIY weddings. Honeymoon locations and workshops. Moving companies, rentals etc. Good vendors please. Can provide additional details.

    Thank you for this info!
we can not control what other vendors do but we can tell them all prizes must not have strings attached to win. I know that we do not sale our guest info and all our vendors are small businesses so I don’t think we in our part of Alaska have that issue. I hope we don’t. Again thank you I will provide this feedback to my partners.

I haven't done the VIP part so I wouldn't know. But I can differently agree that you get a lot of emails afterwards from just being their normally. Though I made a wedding email so I could keep my wedding stuff separate from my normal stuff. I can say having the separate emails has made the planning process easier cause I didn't have to hunt down emails as much.
